Introduction

       All Aboard!!! We will be taking a journey through the Digestive System.  During this journey, you will learn about the different parts of the Digestive System and it's function.  You will have a hands on learning experience and once you have completed this journey, you will have learned in detail, the Digestive System. Have fun and enjoy your journey.

The Task

    Get ready to explore the Digestive System. In order to complete your journey, you will need to complete the following tasks:
   
    1.  Complete Worksheets with group members.
    2.  Create a song to help remember the Digestive System with group members.
    3.  Perform research on the Digestive System.
    4.  Design a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation on your group's part of the Digestive System.
    5.  Present to class Microsoft PowerPoint presentation and song on the Digestive System.

The Process

Day 1 and Day 2-
    1.  Get into your groups and designate one person to be your group leader.  The group leader will be responsible for collecting everyone's worksheets
         and CD-ROM, and turning them in at the end of the Day 7.
    2.  Print and read the Instruction Sheet.
    3.  Print and complete the Digestive Diagram Worksheet.
    4.  Print and complete the Digestive Story Worksheet.
    5.  Create a song to help remember the Digestive System.  Please be creative!!  You will to have the group leader write down the song. At the end, all groups               will need to present their song in front of their class. By creating this song, it will allow you to remember the parts of the Digestive System for your test at the
         end of the unit. 
Day 3, Day 4 and Day 5-
    1.  Perform research and find information about your part of the Digestive System.
    2.  Print and complete the Digestive System Questions Worksheet. This will help you in creating your Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.
    3.  Create a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation (Must contain 5 Slides, graphic/image, background on all slides)
             Slide 1 (Title Slide)- Title, Group Members, Class
             Slide 2- Information about Digestive System (definition, location)
             Slide 3- Function of the Digestive System (what is it's purpose)
             Slide 4 & 5- Your group's part of the heart (purpose and function).
Day 6 & Day 7-
    1.   Present your groups' Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation and Song to the class.
    2.   Print and fill out evaluation sheet at the end of class on Day 6.

Evaluation

       For this Lesson, as a group, you will be graded on team work, how well your group managed time, your Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, how well your group followed the instructions, creativity in creating your group's song and presentation, if the worksheets that were required were completed and lastly if you group meet the requirements. Please see below for how I will be grading:

Conclusion

       Congratulations!!! You have now completed your first WebQuest.  While completing this WebQuest, you have learned about the Digestive System and it's
       purpose. You have also learned how to perform research using non-print and print resources and then complete different tasks from using your knowledge.
